Elect Don Taylor Weston County Commissioner

Don Taylor is a lifelong conservative, business owner, community leader, and former Weston County Commissioner who believes local government works best when it is honest, accountable, and focused on the people it serves. Together with his wife, Ruth, Don owns and operates businesses that serve Weston County families, including a local pharmacy and an assisted living facility. Through decades of business and management experience, he has worked with employees, balanced budgets, solved problems, and helped provide essential services to residents across the county.

Don's commitment to public service is rooted in the values that have guided his life: faith in God, personal responsibility, honesty, hard work, and treating others with respect. During his previous term as Weston County Commissioner, he earned a reputation for being accessible, listening to citizens, and speaking openly about the issues facing the county. He worked to increase transparency in county government, encourage greater public participation in meetings, and ensure that residents throughout Weston County—including those in Upton and Osage—had a voice in local decision-making.

As commissioner, Don advocated for responsible spending, government accountability, improved infrastructure, and policies that support economic growth and strengthen county services. He believes elected officials should be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, make decisions based on facts rather than politics, and always put the interests of local citizens first.
